Colehill resident Jason Foster to lose dreads in aid of charity
The Twenty-six year old decided to raise money for Cancer Research UK after his mother died of the illness two years ago and came up with the idea of having his dreadlocks cut off. Although nervous Jason is happy to loose his dreads, as he admits his mum was never keen on his hair "She never liked 'em anyway, she'll be quite pleased really."
Jason invites anyone and everyone to come down to the Green Man at 9pm on Friday the 18th November and donate their money for a great cause. Everyone who donates will have the opportunity to cut off one of his dreads. Asked if he was going to shave his head Jason replied, "I suspect by the end of it my hair will be such a state I'll probably have to shave it."
Jason is aiming to raise £250…but we don't want to do that, no, no, no… we want him to raise much more, nearer to £500, so please come along to the Green Man on Friday and generously give, as Jason will be doing with his hair.

ReportThat just goes to show how much cancer touches people's lives. Well done Jason, although I can't help thinking you would have been better doing it during the summer when it was warmer. Hope your head's not too cold.

ReportJason said he would be happy to raise £250, I was hoping he'd raise nearer £500, we both underestimated everyone's generosity in these hard times. The actual number raised was a whopping £730!!! Well done Jason and thanks to everyone who gave to a good cause.
