Wilts & Dorset Buses are to reintroduce the much loved number 3 bus service, affectionately known as the Wimborne Flyer, after listening to complaints from disgruntled passengers. The new route will run Monday to Saturday from 17th September every 30 minutes, between Wimborne, Corfe Mullen, Broadstone, Broadstone Way and Poole.

Common Sense Prevails As Wimborne Flyer Reinstated
This is good news for commuters and shoppers who regularly used the service, but I can't help thinking the damage to Wilts & Dorset's credibility has already been done. This is nothing but back peddling from a company who realised they made a major error and upset a great many of their customers. No doubt Wilts & Dorset will claim a major PR victory for listening to their customers, but they shouldn't have been in the position in the first place. The dropping of a much used and loved bus service, vital for so many people, was an epic error of management incompetence.
All the PR in the world isn't going to hide the fact Wilts & Dorset let down their customers and are now back peddling like mad and trying to pretend it never happened. I'm glad they've seen sense and decided to reinstate the service, but it should never have been withdrawn in the first place.

Utter stupidity. If they had only listened to their customers in the first place.
