A busy route into and out of Wimborne will be closed on weekdays from Monday 17th September for four weeks.

Dorset County Council (DCC) will be carrying out repair works to Julian's Bridge on the B3078. The bridge suffered damage to a parapet in January 2012 when a drink-driver crashed his lorry into it.

The bridge, which was built in 1636 and widened in 1844 is a listed structure and requires materials sympathetic to its age to repair. One of these is lime mortar which needs to be applied before the weather gets too cold in order to set properly.
