Wimborne And Area Crime Update

Here's a quick roundup of crime in Wimborne and surrounding areas.

Thirty-one crimes were reported in and around the Colehill area in August, down from July's total of thirty-eight, with anti-social crime being the largest yet again with twenty-one reported incidents.

Incident number: 25.40 - Thieves stole 400 metres of telephone cable from Three Legged Cross, near Verwood, at around 1am on Thursday 25th August, using a large vehicle to pull the cable from the ground.

On Thursday 11th of August a 69-year-old woman had her handbag stolen while shopping in Wimborne town centre.

A Broadstone couple had an old oak stool stolen from their greenhouse in early August.

Three men robbed the Co-op on Creekmore Lane, Poole, at knifepoint, at about 6.50am on Wednesday 17th August.

Incident number: 17:227 - A teenager was knocked unconscious in Wimborne town centre in the early hours of Saturday 17th August. The eighteen-year-old suffered heavy bruising to his back and face. The incident happened on Cook Row some time between 2 – 4.30 am.
