Wimborne Food Festival 2011

The Wimborne Food Festival arrives later this month on Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd of October, bringing great food and entertainment to the good people of Wimborne.

Waitrose return as main sponsor for the festival again this year and the great news is there is free entry to all areas. This year you can enjoy two fantastic kitchen demos (Honeybrook Farm Kitchen – Corn Market & Dorset Farmers Market Kitchen – Willow Walk next to Waitrose), a street market to tantalise your taste buds, street theatre, music, fun and games for the children with CBeebies Mr Bloom (Community Learning & Resource Centre) and Peppa Pig (Willow Walk next to Waitrose), a food market, an artisan tent and readings, talks and book signings with a range of foodie authors.

As well as all those fantastic treats there will also be a Vintage Fairground, the Dorset Farmers Market, Raptor Displays (are they really going to let live dinosaurs free to wander about Wimborne?) and even an Inflatable Maze (wonder if I can lose the kids in here for an hour or two?).
