It's Get Safe Online Week, and Dorset Police are supporting the drive to raise awareness of internet-related financial crime - including online fraud and phishing scams.

Earlier this year, the Dorset Community Safety Survey revealed that 56% of respondent are very or highly worried about financial crime, and 54% are very or fairly worried about internet related financial crime.

There were 91 internet related fraud and forgery offence in Dorset between 1st April 2011 and 31st March 2012.

If you think you might be at risk, or would like to get some tips about being safer online, particularly with online banking or spotting scams, then visit www.getsafeonline.org. You can also follow @dorsetpolice on Twitter who are dishing out tips all week.
