Cherries providing opposition for benefit game
League One AFC Bournemouth are to visit Cuthbury later this month to face a joint Wimborne Town/Poole Town side in a benefit game for Andy Culliford. The game is set to take place on Thursday 27th September, kick off 7:45pm.
Culliford, who played for both Wimborne and Poole, is suffering from with motor neurone disease which is incurable.
It is hoped that the joint Wimborne/Poole side, which on the night will be known as the "Andy Culliford Squad," will be managed by former AFC Bournemouth, Southampton, Portsmouth and Tottenham Hotspur boss Harry Rednapp.
Admission to the game will be £5 for adults and £1 for under 16's. And AFC Bournemouth chairman Eddie Mitchell is offering the use of his Rolls Bentley for a weekend as a prize in a raffle to be held on the night of the game.
