The apparent opposition for the Waitrose development is fairly typical for unsocially aware people living in a time warp. Wimborne is a thriving town, and has some (sadly not the authors of the posts) normal, thriving, 21st century people.
Why should the sensible people who live in Wimborne not be able to enjoy the excellent facilities that Waitrose has to offer? the existing tacky supermarket badly needs competition. There is a surfeit of green open pasture land within a five minute hobble of the town, those nosey interfering and frankly pathetic dissenters to the scheme should learn to be less selfish, and more pro-active in seeking out what they what in their lives like MOVE! ... without expecting other people to sacrifice the priviledge of choice in where, and how they choose to shop.
