Time to escape Wimborne for a holiday?

August is nearly upon us and that means holiday time for most people, but where to go? Many of you will probably head abroad and a few of you might even stay at home. Home or away, what are your options?

Abroad: There are a lot of companies to choose from, and a great many deals to be had, especially if you’re not too fussed where you end up. The places to check out are Saville Travel, Phoenix Travel, Travel Speed, Hays Travel and of course Bath Travel. Bath Travel are offering £59 late availability flights via Palmair to destinations in Europe. This is a good offer but you have to remember you won’t get a great choice of destinations as it all depends on which destinations Palmair have spare seats on. But if you don’t give a damn where you end up, and just want a cheap holiday, then this is probably your best bet.

Home: Why go abroad on an expensive holiday when we have Blue Flag beaches within a few miles of us, at Bournemouth, Studland, Southborne and Mudeford? Personally I don’t see the point of going to another country where you hardly speak the lingo and will probably spend most of your holiday on the loo with the green apple splatters. Why not stay at home this year and take advantage of some of the local attractions? You might as well help our local economy rather than Mr. Johnny Foreigner’s. Home sweet home or visit another country, what do you think?

But that's the fun part, dodging the rain clouds.

I would stay at home if the weather was reliable but unfortunately it's not!
