There are hundreds of children across Dorset who are suffering from life-limiting illnesses. To them and their families, every happy moment is precious. And that's why Julia's House is dedicated to providing love, support and help to both them, and their families ensuring they make the most of the time they have together.

Situated in Corfe Mullen the hospice has a long list of aims for 2010, one of which they are already close to achieving thanks to their 'Pyjama Appeal'. The overnight care for some children at weekends will begin early in May offering families much needed respite knowing their child will be safe and well cared for in an environment already known to them.
The hospice also hopes this year to be able to offer round the clock care when a child is nearing the end if life, increase the hours of care provided in children's own homes, increase the availability of complimentary and music therapies, add more social events for families to relieve some of the pressure living with a child with a life limiting illness can cause.
Only 3% of the running costs of the hospice are met by the government and with an estimated 2.6 million estimated for 2010 the hospice rely heavily on the support and goodwill of the community and its celebrity patrons.
