Wimborne Remembrance Service takes place on November 8

This years's Wimborne Poppy Appeal was launched on Saturday with the first purchase made by The Mayor of Wimborne, John Burden.
The Dorset Youth Marching Band played wartime music and Wimborne Town Crier Chris Brown gave a patriotic call to support the appeal.
Poppies will be sold in Wimborne Market on 7th November and in the town on the 6th and 7th November.
The Remembrance service in The Wimborne Minster takes place on Sunday 8th November at 3pm.Those attending are requested to be seated by 2.45pm.
A parade will process from the British Legion at 2.40pm.
