Wimborne Weather - rain, rain and more rain for Easter

Much has been made of the terrible weather the UK is currently experiencing. Although here in Wimborne we are lucky to have escaped the snow some could argue the near constant rain and grey skies are no better - at least a good snow fall allows the odd duvet day and a childlike excitement if enough of the stuff falls .We Brits are constantly moaning about the weather which, to be honest doesn’t seem to me to be much different than any other year- yes, it’s Easter as we know but Easter can fall in a period of 35 days because it is calculated as the first Sunday after the first full moon following the spring equinox. A month from now we may well be on our beaches or in our gardens and the long grim winter nothing more than a dim and distant memory.

Easter is early this year and so the chances of sun and warmth were always slim. It’s a met office fact that it is more likely to snow at Easter than it is at Christmas. http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/
In 1984 Easter was late (22nd April) and temperatures were a wonderful 20 degrees, In 1964 Easter was early 27–29 March 1964 and temperatures barely reached 6–7 °C in southern and central parts of the country, and biting winds made it feel even colder. As for an early April Easter 1–3 April 1983 was the snowiest Easter with Scotland, the Midlands and Kent getting up to 10 cm of snow. Over the past 45+ years, snow has fallen quite regularly, even in lowland areas. For example, 1958, 1965, 1970, 1973, 1975, 1977, 1978, 1982, 1983, 1986, 1994 and 1998 were all years when snow fell.
My advice would be to plan ahead and work around this. If you want a warm Easter but the chances are slim because it happens to be a year when Easter falls early consider a holiday and hopefully by the time you return the sun will be shining. To help you plan ahead I’ve listed the future Easter dates.

I don't think this weather is anything new and I struggle with all this talk of global warming especially when you look back in history at Easters' before. Am I wrong? It's easy for me to have this perspective as I'm sat hundreds of miles away in a hot country writing this...what do you think? Is this global warming or are we Brits just moaning about the weather again because it's what we do best?
