You can tell a good chef by his daily specials board, and this chef knows what he's doing. Out of the several times I've been here I've only ever had a meal off the normal menu, instead opting something of the chef's special board. I have never been disapointed. A fine establishment.

Absolutely brilliant, quality food
I love the Black Horse Inn, and would heartily recommend it to anyone! The atmosphere is really warm and welcoming, with very friendly staff and a really excellent selection of food and drink. The food in particular is brilliant I have eaten here many times now and not once have I been even slightly disappointed. In fact, the range and the really interesting daily specials is always impressive and everything is perfectly cooked and with large, tasty portions. As far as I know it isnt generally known as a gastropub but on the quality of the food it certainly deserves to be.
