I didn't realise this pub had a new landlord until I looked on here. I haven't been into the Coach & Horses for years so I thought I would give it a go at the weekend. I'm glad I did. A great little pub that does stonkingly great pub food. It has certainly improved a great deal since the new landlord took over and I will be going back.

Welcome to The Coach and Horses
The Coach & Horses is a premium pub that sits in a prime position on the main Wimbourne Road. A thatched roof country feel pub, it offers fantastic premium food, cask ales and a great selection of premium wine. The pub also offers functions in it's premium skittle alley. We also do Salsa nights twice a week and our rooms are available for Wedding receptions.
We're proud of our food, so only the best ingredients make it on to our menu. Choose from pub classics such as Suffolk Pork Sausages and West Country Cheddar mash, Fish & Chips and Gourmet Burgers - not to mention our carefully prepared daily specials. Whatever you're looking for, you'll be right at home when you dine with us.

Our Skittle Alley is now open for functions and with a fully equipped projector it is also perfect for business meetings. (Hire is free when ordering food)
We also offer a buffet food facility at £3.95 per person for cold food and £6.95 per person for hot food.

Since the new landlord took over in September this place has been transformed. The food is better and there's nothing more I like these days than having Sunday lunch here with a nice cold pint with the Mrs. Top quality service and food and the ale is great.

Tried It Liked It.
I had a drink in here at the weekend and I was very much surprised. I've always thought of it as a rough pub, but it wasn't anything of the sort. I had a pint of real ale (I'm an ale buff) and although I didn't eat any food, what was being served looked very appetising. Next time I'll take the family along.
