Really lovely pub, teeny in size but makes up with the friendly people that visit - a great place to pop into and either on a warm evening to sit in the garden, watching the stars - with no interuptions from noise, just people enjoying a quiet drink outdoors...or on a colder night to sit in either bar and have a drink....normally see Phil who's helping to keep the place going and the resident pooch who pops up to say hello ! Believe its Linda who is Landlady, very friendly....not sure what food they do, didnt know they did.....I know there is home-made chutneys and jams you can buy (and crisps)....but its the fact that the place is calm, quiet and really enjoyable....(then you get their Conker and Pumpkin competition and thats lethal) !!

ReportI quite often take the dog up to Pamphill to give him a good run around, and a change of view from Cannon Hill Woods. Afterwards, if the wife isn't with me, I try and pop into the Vine and have a sneaky pint before I go home. The service is always warm and welcoming, the beer thirst quenching, and the garden is the perfect place to sit in peace and quiet, enjoying the sunshine (when it bothers to show) and a lovely cool pint. They also do food, not that I have eaten their yet, but I suppose it won't be long before I do.
