...or is that Dorset? I can't state enough how good this restaurant is in terms of consistent food quality. Every dish is like a taste dance on your tongue which plays with your senses, leaving you happy that you came. The service is second to none which is why this little restaurant is now such a big name. It is impossible to ever have a bad meal here and every time you go it just reminds you again how damn good the chefs are. How can it improve? It doesn't need to.

OMG!!! What a restaurant! Why did nobody tell me about this before???? The onion barjis are to die for, not the huge monstrosities you get in other places, but small, very tasty barjis that just melt in your mouth. I can't believe the flavors you get here and just so you know I stuffed myself silly when I went here last week. Oh, and the prices are fine, not THAT expensive.
Minster Spice in Leigh Road serves very tasty, authentic Indian dishes cooked to perfection and served steaming hot. All the classic Indian dishes are present and correct, and there are options such as the Tandoori Ki Shaan which offers a selection of all the Tandoori treats available. This is a fantastic, ever-reliable place to have a curry.
I went out for a meal with my wife last night and we decided to go to Minster Spice to see what had changed, if anything. We were happy to find it was just the name that had changed (from the Blue Fig) and nothing else. I started with ONION BHAJI, not one of those massive ones you get in most places, but four smalls ones with such delicate flavors, they were so fantastic they left me wanting more. Next up was LAMB TIKKA ROGAN JOSH with LEMON RICE. Oh dear God, it was a fantastic meal, such great flavors I can''t even begin to describe them to you, and a PASHAWARI NANN which was freshly cooked, smelt like heaven and tasted out of this world. The best thing of all Minster Spice are now doing a half price Tuesday offer (except on seafood dishes) a leaflet on which you can get from their counter. So a two course meal, with drink, cost us in total £25.50...yep, that''s right. No wonder the place was packed. I am never disappointed when I eat here and I can''t recommend it enough to you all. Go on, give it a try. You won''t regret it.
This is truly a fantastic restaurant, a favourite of the wife and myself. The food here is cooked to perfection, with such delicious flavours and aromas, Ive never come away disappointed. The service is first rate and the menu choice wide and varied, and despite many visits I have yet to try everything the restaurant offers. Maybe one day. It is a little on the expensive side, but is well worth a night out for a romantic meal. It wont disappoint.
I had my birthday here last year. The best Indian food I have tasted in years. Sadly I think it is no longer trading.
