Good points: great beer and cider, friendly service, pleasant beer garden and friendly atmosphere. Basic food is fine e.g. ploughmans. Needs attention: an alleged Thai green curry consisting of a plate of rice with some weird sauce out of a jar heated and poured over it and a few prawns added - Yuk!! Also PLEASE check and clean up some of the badly stained upholstered seating.

A comfy, delightful pub that caters for young and old. The food portions served are on the generous side, with meals reasonably priced, and the service polite and friendly. It's a great place to eat if you want to be filled up with good hot food on cold winter days like these. The restaurant area is of average size and you can also find an alcove at the center back if you want some privacy. They also have a pool table if you fancy a game.
still manages to cater for young and old alike as it has always done so well.
Can you PLEASE change the title?! It's the White HART (as in stag) not heart; in common with many other pubs throughout the country!

This place is well worth a visit if you want a good meal and a quiet drink. There is plenty of space to sit within easy reach of the bar so you can top up your wine glass anytime you want. The staff come and go a bit as they mostly use students, so service can be a bit anonymous at times. But all in all I do like this place.
