Beating a side three

levels lower in the Non-League pyramid is usually not something to

shout about. But Wimborne Town’s 2-1 victory at Dorset Premier

League Holt United in the Dorset Senior Cup on Saturday was a cause

for joy as it ended the Magpies five game losing run in all

competitions.

Lee Chudy put the

Magpies ahead with an early effort, but the score was tied at 1-1 by

the interval.

Gareth Barnes grabbed

the second half winner to earn Wimborne a quarter-final clash against

Bridport at Cuthbury.
